One may [i]OPTIONALLY[/i] ([i]never obligation[/i]), and [i]SO LONG AS THIS DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH EUPHONY AND CLARITY[/i], elide following words:

[b]1)[/b] the article [b]lo[/b] before a word beginning with a vowel:

| [b]l’abro[/b], [b]l’abros[/b] | the tree, the trees |
| [b]l’eldo[/b], [b]l’eldinos[/b] | the hero, the heroines |
| [b]l’aventuros d’Artur[/b] | Arthur’s adventures |

[b]2)[/b] the preposition [b]de[/b] and the word [b]ke[/b] (pronoun or conjunction), and also [i]the object pronoun[/i], before a word beginning with a vowel:

[b]4)[/b] the ending [b]o[/b] of the NOUN, but ONLY IN THE SINGULAR. The plural’s designation [b]os[/b] MAY NEVER BE ELIDED (see [[:en:neo:rmn:gram:adjvn#The Noun|“NOUN”]])

[b]5)[/b] the ending [b]at[/b] of the past participle, when used as a noun suffixed with [b]in[/b] (feminine):

[b]7)[/b] in poetry, any word may be elided, when this is suggested by the rhythm or by the musicality of the verse. The poet is of course granted extra freedom in this matter, as his muse may suggest to him.
